"BOOK IT" Program by Pizza Hut

When a child meets a monthly reading goal, the teacher gives him or her a Pizza Award Certificate. The child takes the certificate to a Pizza Hut restaurant where it can be redeemed for a free one-topping Personal Pan Pizza.
If you have not already signed up for this program, you may do so as an individual homeschool family. Go to the website, "www.bookitprogram.com" and click on "Book It! Kickoff". Print out the "Homeschool Enrollment Order Form". It will say the deadline was June 9, 2006, but disregard that. Send in the form as soon as possible because the supplies are limited. It was recommended by them to do this before September to ensure that you receive certificates.
If you are not sure if you signed up in the spring, you can contact me. I will be receiving the certificates sometime mid-September and will let you know when they arrive.

"Read to Succeed" Program by Six Flags

This program is for students K-6th to take part in the Six Hour Reading Club to earn a ticket for free admission to Six Flags. The six hours (or 360 minutes) of reading can be done by the student themselves; or someone else can read it to them. You will receive a "Keeping Track" form for the student(s) to log their reading time. The teacher must also fill out a list of student(s) names and grade levels, and will also receive a teacher's ticket for free admission.
The time for this reading program is December-February. You may sign up for it anytime before it begins. There is a cost of $1 when submitting the completed forms. The tickets arrive in April and are good for redemption from about the middle of June through the first week of August at participating Six Flags Parks.
