About Us
SCCCHE has been a viable support group since 1987 beginning with only a handful of homeschool families who were seeking to network with like-minded Christian families.  Since, we have grown to accommodate over 180+ families, and with this growth we have taken the opportunity to hold mini-conferences, seminars, and have entertained renown speakers from across the nation.
Purpose Statement
Our purpose is to facilitate the support to Christian parents who are, or will be teaching their children at home. We have monthly meetings providing opportunities for networking with other Christian parents, and we arrange speakers to uplift and provide vision for our group, and organize activities for the families who join SCCCHE.
What We Do

Our goal is to be a support for the families in the St. Clair County Christian Home Educators.  We engage speakers for our monthly meetings once each quarter, at least four times during the homeschool year, to encourage, educate parents, and assist new homeschoolers in their personal endeavor to answer God's call on their family to train up their children in the Lord.

Contact Urban & Carrie Gaxiola if you have suggestions for a homeschool related topic or for possible guest speaker(s) that would be of interest to the group as a whole.

As well, we offer a larger variety of activities to accentuate the different needs of the home educators within our group. Those activities include: Master's Lyceum, Physical Fitness classes, Music (Beginner & Senior Bands), Speech Club, Worldview Class, Generation Joshua Club. We also have many other Events that take place throughout the year: Math Olympics, Art & Science Fairs, Speech & Word Festival, Spelling Bees and Music Contests (instrumental and vocal). A link to the main activity page is located at the top of the page and under site navigation.

We also have a Field Trip Coordinator who organizes and directs several field trips in and around the local area. These are always a popular part of the homeschoolers curriculum.

Where We Meet
We have monthly meetings at the First Assembly of God Church in Belleville on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Visitors are welcome to attend these meetings. We have orientations every other month for new members to give them a complete look at what our support group offers.
