Field Trip Etiquette
- If you sign up for a field trip, view it as a commitment. Please contact the field trip coordinator if your family is not able to attend.
- Payment is required by the designated due date. In order to fulfill payment of the locked in group rate, we can not accept late payments. Note: prices are based on the minimum number of people needed; this allows the group to lock in at discounted rates.
- Consider any payment to be non-refundable. There may be cases when a credit can be given for a future field trip. However, that depends on the specific field trip. To be safe, always assume that no credit will be given.
- Remember to check the target age. If ages are not listed for a field trip, please check with the field trip coordinator before bringing younger children.
- All children must have a designated chaperon.
- Please always dress neatly and modestly; check the modesty guidelines, located in your SCCCHE member book.
Men’s clothing should be masculine and pants should be worn at their waist. Women’s clothing should be feminine. Neither should be tight-fitting or revealing. Remember, our appearance should always be pleasing to God.
-
Please be on time! We are representing Christians and other home-schoolers. Note: we will begin at the the scheduled time.
- We will enter promptly as a group at the designated time. DO NOT enter early on your own; this usually causes confusion.
- Please instruct your children on proper field trip behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, raising their hand to answer a question, giving their undivided attention to the tour guide, and respecting the facility that has graciously allowed us to visit.
- Parents and older siblings please set a good example for our younger attendees. This includes, but is not limited to, giving your undivided attention to the tour guide. On field trips, we strive to show Christian home-schoolers in a positive light.
- Remember: We carry the name of Christ and should do so in all our conduct.
